Need help with a DNS problem

Does the gateway router act as a nameserver, I noticed that your
resolv.conf file contained the nameserver line =ing 192.168.0.1.

I would replace that line with the nameserver address supplied by your
ISP.

What does your /etc/host.conf file look like;
	should look like
		order hosts,bind
