Kernel with 8k Stack and Nvidia

Make sure you are passing the option "rhgb" to the kernel. Look at 
/boot/grub/grub.conf. Also, /etc/sysconfig/init
should have GRAPHICAL=yes. Should work nomatter what kernel you are running.
