	This has been mentioned before, generally the install of linux will
recognize a DVD recorder-player as a CD-ROM, maybe because it does
both?  Anyway just either make a link from a /dev/dvd to /dev/cdrom, or
open mplayer preferences and tell mplayer to look at /dev/cdrom
