Custom kernel 2.6.6-1.435 build fails with Power Management options

Generic advice - haven't tried to replicate this problem...

Back up modified .config, do "make mrproper", restore .config, do "make
oldconfig", (optional - "make gconfig" or "make menuconfig" for any
additional changes), answer any questions, "make all", "make install".
