Helpful People,

I've recently installed FC2 at home, and I'm having some small problems.
~ Actually only one BIG problem.

History:
- --------
The machine is a dual PIII (old slot 1 style) using a Tyan Tiger 133
(VIA chipset) motherboard. It has all the extras... SCSI card, CDROMs,
DVD, CD-RW, Tape Backup, etc.
The video card is an ATI Radeon 64MB VIVO card. (This is the problem)

Recently Fixed:
- ---------------
I was unable to boot.... It would always try to enter runlevel 5.
Finally got fixed and now I can boot to a command prompt and edit files.
~ The rescue CD was OK, but when I tried using vi to edit a file it
locked up. Anyway, fixed now. I'm running runlevel 3 until I get the X
thing sorted out.

Problem:
- --------
1) X complains about not being able to load agpgart, but if I look in
dmesg, I see entries about agpgart. agpgart is not listed as a module,
is this OK?

2) I've had problems before with the video card. Mostly with Windows,
and last time with Linux I set the default video mode to be 800x600 and
I got the 1024x768 my card supports. I tried rotating the entries again
making 800x600 the first entry, but that does not work. Can someone
send me a copy of their ATI cards settings to compare against the ones
that where generated automatically by the install?
~ I'd think that by now the old ATI video card would be supported
better by now.

Help Please,
James Kosin
