Plug-in instilation forFC1

I am having troulbe installing any plug-ins for my
mozilla browser.  I can download and extrac the j2re
package, but I cant install the browser plugin.  I am
also having trouble with the instillation of flash
player.  Is thier an rpm somewhere hat would make the
instilation of the plugins a bit more user friendly?
