Fedora core 1 sendmail problems

I don't see why not.  When we had it as 127.0.0.1, we weren't getting any
external (internet) email.  When we changed it to 0.0.0.0, it worked.  How
isn't this valid help?

This is no valid help. The OP already commented out with a leading dnl
the DAEMON_OPTIONS restriction to localhost. He did what you did but
different.
