Dude.. K3B is a Frontend for cdrdao and cdrecord..
Just like x-cdroast etc.

CDRdao is the way to go but I think cdrecord also supports DAO.

I used to have a working cdrdao but then I upgraded to 2.6 kernel
and it's now broken.. (since 2.6 uses ide-cd) and it wants a newer 
version but newer version can't install due to dependency problems
etc.. yadda..yadda..yadda..
