Man, I need to proof-read better with this laptop keyboard.

export http_proxy=http://chadley:xxxxxx@196.25.100.20:80

Note the "@" sign between the password and proxy address.

At least it is trying to use the proxy.  You still need configure up2date
to use a mirror, though.
