problem with swap memory

Hi

I was playing around resizing partition and now it seems like the swap 
partition is not active any more.
Here is the output of the free command:

                     total       used       free     shared    
buffers     cached
Mem:        514620     507288   7332          0      11492     179096
-/+ buffers/cache:     316700     197920
Swap:            0          0          0

The swap partition corresponds with the entry on /etc/fstab...

Any ideas?
