Strange times

My KDE time applet behaves strangely.
At the moment it has jumped to Los Angeles time.
I can reset it easily enough by right-clicking on the icon
going to "Configure Clock" and just pressing "Apply".

Does anyone else have this problem?
It may be connected with the fact
that I opted to check the time at redhat's time-server.
