Your provider will tell you how to setup your connection (IP address,
DNS, etc.).  If the provider uses DHCP, it's trivial to do.  The
connection wizard sets up your computer's Ethernet interface and once
that's done right, there's nothing special about the cable modem -- it's
just the plumbing.
