DNS Woes

Sorry... forgot to answer that one.  I was instructed by the ISP to power-down the cable modem for one hour and did so.  The problem still exists only with the Linux system, but not with the Windoze system.

Linux (Fedora) can not ping the gateway or any other IP on the outside world; it can ping the NIC IP assigned by the ISP.

ifconfig eth0 does not have the leased IP (24.159.201.xxx) in its output lines, only what I have shown below.
