One word, stay away from Belkin!

Installed a brand-new 8port Omniview, mix of NT, 2K and Linux. I had
endless problems with the mouse going crazy, had to do a hard reset or
reboot the servers one by one to resolve, support from Belken suppliers in
NZ sucks, took 3 months to convince them to replace the unit, the new
replacement unit used combo cables so I had to buy another 8x cables, they
only had 3x cables in stock took another month to get the remainder, on
installation the power connection was flaky, wiggle it and the unit did a
reset.

Out of pure frustration bought an HP unit and it worked right away, what a
waste of time.

up to four computers using a single monitor, keyboard, mouse and
speaker-set. It sounds like a great space saver - I have an XP Home and an
FC1 machine taking up most of the table space in my study - and it would be
great to get rid of one of the monitors and such.

machine before I buy it. I don't mind set-up problems if they can be
overcome with a little patience and work but I've been burned a couple of
times lately with hardware having installation software which is only
written for Windows machines.
