HD corruption

yes they are fat32 fs.  I at one time was dual booting and I was told the 
only way I would be able to have windows and linux rw to these partitions 
would be to have them as vfat so that is what I did.  Once I got rid of 
windows the data was already there and I didn't back it up.  I planned on 
backing up this past weekend but i did not stay home so I was putting it 
off til this weekend.  Guess I'm too late.  :(
