Yes.

The EU has already approved a directive that turns infringement into
crime.

It doesn't even make distinction between a casual and likely ignorant
infringement from large scale commercial infringement (aka the so called
"pirates").

Worse... patent infringement is abriged, so you may have to defend
yourself in court for what you wrote yourself, even if you were locked
in a cave creating software for the last 50 years.
