For future questions: please post the exact error message, else it is
impossible what fails.

In this case, it can't be successful. The driver is dated from 2002 and
can't be compiled for kernel 2.6. See

Is the device detected by FC2? To see run "lspci -vv" and check the
output. But from what I googled I do not expect that there is a driver.
Maybe it is possible to get the Linksys driver modified for 2.6 kernel.
