FC 2 / ALSA / VIA AC'97 Audio

With OSS everything worked fine, with ALSA not.

Neither the detection while installing nor the
ALSA-Config can handle this perfectly, I have sound
for a few seconds and then it sounds like a DOS game
after the PC crashed (alternating sound/no sound all
the time).

ALSA-Config recognizes this correctly as AC'97 VT82xx.

I also tried several configurations for
/etc/modprobe.conf given on the Internet. Still the
same problem.
