X86_64 FC2 problems on ASUS K8V SE Deluxe system

I have an Athlon Amd64-FX system on a Asus SK8N and also have Nauilus
fail on login. I also found that the desktop preferences application
fails when seletcted. With sound I have a Soudblaster Live 5.1 which
works with program sounds but wont play music CD's. I think that these
are Gnome problems rather than Fedora Core. The sound problem is one I
have had with 32 bit and 64 bit Fedora from the First release on. I am
running the X86_64 FC-2. Does anyone have any suggestions?
