FC2: No usb or eth w/ smp kernel...

Additional info:
I built a 2.6.6 kernel using the i686-smp config from the kernel-source
rpm and that did not help at all (although it did require a whooping 1.5
GB of free hard disk space!).
I think I'll look for help in the kernel list for this problem.
