[FC2] Can't start mysql

you can always try fedora GUI
system-config-services

and manually start mysql in that GUI. You can set its default boot
behaviour as well.

IF you  haven't access to X, have a look in /etc/rc.d/init.d and run
/etc/rc.d/init.d/mysqld restart (or start or stop or status...)
