Old farts and new Linux (was: new FC1 install problems)

I'm over 30, and run Linux on all but 1 machine at home.  I cut my teeth
on HP-UX. I've ran linux on my laptops for about 7 years.  My wife
refuses to switch (yet).  My kids run Fedora, all of their old 'jump
start' games don't run correctly on my wifes XP box, so they run them
via wine on their fedora box.  Yeah there were a few issues due to me
not locking down their machine tight enough.  The 2 year old managed to
remove the menus, and generally rearranged the desktop, but my 7 year
old daughter fixed it for him...
