Need help (of course) setting up network

Just received this posting.
1) Under Start>System Settings>Network(Network Configuration) is the GUI
program (needs the root password).
2) If your son could do the Windoz setup he should have no problems with
this if you can't figure it out.
3) Any other info fire back anouther post on this thread. -- It took 11
hours for me to see/get it.
