Whats the diff between /dev/sg0 And /dev/scd0 ???

Thanks Alexander, the file was interesting reading...

Does that mean I could (with the 2.6 kernel) eliminate the:
append="hdb=ide-scsi"
from the lilo.conf file, and use /dev/hdb for the cd-rw drive?
