Fetchmail isn't configured with SPDS

Fetchmail in FC2 is not configured with SPDS, so I cannot fetch by
email.

So I downloaded the SRPM, unpacked the source, re-configured, make,
 and did an rpm -e fetchmail, then make install. So now it works. 

How can I install it from rpm with SPDS? Why isn't the rpm built this
way in the first place?
