Libusb and HP Scanner

I am have trouble getting my scanner to work under FC2.
Sane sees the scanner but I get an "ERROR DURING DEVICE I/O" when trying 
to scan
Any ideas what I have missed.
The scanner is a HP5200C and worked well under FC1
