Debugging SASL is unfortunately not that easy. To not wild guess from
this side it would be helpful if you post specific error messages from
/var/log/maillog. You did not give any details about your SASL setup,
which MECH you are using and whether SASL auth works besides
SquirrelMail. Is the saslauthd running?
