Evolution --Insert Image-- paths are missing

When you go to insert an image the path is missing from the dropdown 
list and "browse" always defaults to /usr/share/pixmaps.

It is not a huge problem but it is annoying to have to navigate your way 
to your images every time you want to insert an image.

Whichever evolution shipped with RedHat9 did not have this problem.

I have looked for a system-wide setting somewhere that might be 
overriding the default behavior but no luck!

Can anyone else verify this?
