Webmin in itself doesn't modify anything out of the
box, since when you extract or install packages in
your environment those configuration files are already
setup generically. Webmin only comes into play when
you wish to modify those packages via Webmin. Webmin
works on the basis of Webmin "modules", an author
programs these modules with configuration details
relating to the OS being run and therefore the
locations of the configuration fiels for each
particular package.
With Webmin, you'll find all these modules and their
configurations in the /usr/libexec/webmin directory
tree, that'll show you alot of the configuration of
Webmin and each of its modules, whether programmed by
Jamie himself or by 3rd party authors.
