FC3, up2date, yum, apt, authenticating proxy

Hi all.

Does FC3 have a fix for the problem where up2date/apt/yum won't work
with authenticating proxies?  <a
href="https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=102272">Bug
102272</a>.

If not, can anyone offer suggestions on how to achieve a similar
result without having to resort to checking each individual package?
