Resizing partitions is unsafe in some way - you always risk that it
damages your existing data in a way that only a backup can help. This is
a well known fact. And anyone using a resizing tool should have a valid
backup in backhand. I think each tool has a warning for this case. So I
doubt a resizing feature will be implemented into the Fedora installer.
If you want to discuss that with the developers you should think about
questioning on fedora-devel-list at redhat.com.
