kppp connects to isp but no application can use internet

I have installed Fedora Core 2
1  Kernal version  :  2.6.5-1.358
I can access internet through  System Settings----->Network
but i am unable to use internet through kppp . kppp connects to isp but no 
appliction can access it.
Please help me
