Are you using the supplied Fedora kernel or a custom kernel? Are there
any failure messages in /var/log/nvidia-installer.log? Perhaps you do
not have a compiler installed. What is the output of:
rpm -q gcc
You should see something like:
gcc-3.4.2-6.fc3
If not try yum install gcc, then retry the nvidia driver install. Note
that the 6629 driver does not work on Riva TNT2 cards, for those stick
with 6111.
