Mozilla -> Firefox/Thunderbird migration issues?

   OK, maybe it's time.

   I know both FF & TB /will/ import my Moz. mail & browser settings OK,
but what I'm more concerned about is what I'll /lose/ (e.g., vast
swathes of preferences UI, style-sheet selection etc. in FF).

   Any thoughts/recommendations from you guys out there? Is there a
'standard' set of extensions I should go get to put firefox back to near
what I have in mozilla (DOM inspector, venckman, advanced-search
sidebar, prefs. UI back)?

   Do both apps. keep their own imported copies of my settings/data
(i.e., not in the orig. ~/.mozilla dir.)?

   FWIW, I'd be doing this on Doze as well as Linux ...
