FC3 - VMware can't remember its config after reboot

ALternatively you could have read the FC3 release notes for a solution, i.e. 
after running vmware-config.pl, do:

cp -rp /dev/vm* /etc/udev/devices/

The device nodes then get created automatically at reboot.
