up2date: Network is Unreachable

The hub can ping all the nodes by name and IP; the nodes can ping the hub
by name and IP.

   # up2date -v -u --proxy=http://localhost:3128

on the hub works fine.

   # nslookup
   > fedora.redhat.com
   Server:         192.168.1.63
   Address:        192.168.1.63#53

   Non-authoritative answer:
   fedora.redhat.com       canonical name = www.redhat.com.
   Name:   www.redhat.com
   Address: 209.132.177.50

works OK on all the nodes.  Lynx works happily on all the nodes.  The update
progress on all the hubs:

   # up2date -v -u --proxy=http://192.168.1.63:3128

produces:

   http://fedora.redhat.com/download/up2date-mirrors/updates-released-fc2
