apt as front-end to up2date

Well, I think that I have not explained myself well... my idea is to
substitute up2date for apt as tool used by the Red Hat Network Alert
Notification Tool. I think that up2date is too slow and I ask if it is
possible to make work the RHN with the (in my opinion) smaller and
simpler apt tool.

I know that it maybe is a nonsense, but if it works it could make my
life easier ;)
