configuring eth0

Thanks for the replies.  

I finally got it sorted out.  I had intended to add "USERCTL=yes" and even put that in my post, but what I had actually entered into my ifcfg-eth0 was "USRCTL=yes"  

Just a stupid typo that had my scratching my head for a couple of hours.  Maybe I should consider a new pair of glasses. :oops:
