Referring to a value in text field in openoffice calc

That worked. Just in case anyone else needs to figure it out, to do the 
example above, just put

    concatenate("Cell a1 is ";text(a1;"###");" and ";text(b1;"##%");" is 
";text(a1*b1;"###"))

in the cell.
