You are OK if you do a graceful shutdown: "shutdown -h now". This will
send a signal to all processes, and they will in turn shut down
gracefully. A partial run of prelink is harmless. If a library is not
prelinked, the normal linking process kicks in. Similarly for locate
and other cron jobs.
