I have the same problem, and others on this list have mentioned it. My 
solution for now is to simply wait for the system to get to the BIOS 
POST (power on self test) and to hold the power button in for ~ 6 
seconds (or until it powers down). Hopefully the developers will 
eventually have a better solution.
