netstat mystery

Previously on my systems when a computer is not connected to the
Internet netstat -r returns:

Kernel IP routing table
Destination     Gateway         Genmask         Flags   MSS Window  irtt Iface
169.254.0.0     *               255.255.0.0     U         0 0          0 eth0
127.0.0.0       *               255.0.0.0       U         0 0          0 lo

However, on my FC3 system currently the 127.0.0.0 line is absent. When
I execute a ifconfig lo the output is:
lo        Link encap:Local Loopback  
          inet addr:127.0.0.1  Mask:255.0.0.0
          inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host
          UP LOOPBACK RUNNING  MTU:16436  Metric:1
          RX packets:1742 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:1742 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 
          RX bytes:2804326 (2.6 MiB)  TX bytes:2804326 (2.6 MiB)

so the lo interface seems to be up and ok. Can anyone explain why the
127.0.0.0       *               255.0.0.0       U         0 0 0 lo

is missing?
