Did you burn them as image files or just copy the .iso file to the CD?  The
latter won't work.

links to software (if you don't have it).  

If you're burning on a Windows machine, you probably have Nero or Roxio. For
Roxio, use FILE -> CREATE CD FROM IMAGE.  For Nero,  use FILE -> BURN CD
IMAGE.
