I'm getting a hal.dll error when I try to boot up windows xp from grub:

"file is missing or corrupt: Windows root\system32\hal.dll"

I searched around on google for some time and the only thing I came up
with is "replace the hal.dll with a newer version from your windows xp
cd." My hal.dll file is there and is fine so I don't need to do that.

What do I need to do to get grub to boot up windows? Thanks!
