Hi TongKe Xue,

Another tool to try are the netpbm utilities. They are command line
tools designed to be linked together in scripts.

As an example, to convert a file in gif format to png format, run

	cat file.gif | giftopnm | pnmtopng > file.png

These tools are fast and do not use much memory.
