The problem seems to be more basic. I can't even see the shares using the "net view" command on the xp machine. As I said, there's no firewall running on the linux machine when I'm testing and I have a Linksys wireless router that connects both machines to the internet. -- Gordon Charrick gordonmc at cox.net
