machine don't halt(continuing)!

Hi,

I've a machine that don't halt. Firstly i suppose that was a ACPI
problem.But it isn't. Now, I suppose that there is some problem with
NFS. The machine imports, from NFS,  the /home from a Fedora 2 Server
with H.A.

Another information is that when the user logs out, some processes owned
by this user are still running.

Anyone have a clue?
