qtparted and floating point exception

I downloaded and installed qtparted with yum. Qtparted worked once. When
I tried to open it again, I received a "floating point exception" error
message. Uninstalling and reinstalling did no good.

All Google yielded was the complaints of persons with the same problem.

What is the correct diagnosis of this problem?
