More X freezes

The perfomance of X and the high amount of breakage within the server is 
getting out of hand. I have trouble with two different cards currently.

I don't know if the xorg-x11 and XFree86 split is the cause of the 
malfunctioning with shuffling of personell and priorities.

Anyway, the only probable solution is to hold back on newer versions of 
xorg-x11 until the problems are fixed and submit or add to a bug report 
for xorg-x11. You ought to try the nv driver first and if this locks up 
also. Being that the nvidia driver is not supported, due to its closed 
source nature, bugs will only be addressed if the problem is 
reproducable with the open source driver. Otherwise, nvidia should be 
made aware of the problem with the later version for correction.
