Hi all,
FYI: this is not a filesystem problem, but a problem in wget.
You can not download files > 2 GB with the standard wget.
The version in rawhide/development has this problem fixed.

Alternatively you can use ncftp as your ftp download client:
ncftp works fine with > 2 GB files.
